Fish Report for 6-2-2023

Personal best’s available

15 anglers: 1 Bluefin Tuna, 3 Yellowtail. Good sign of Bluefin ranging from medium size to lifetime achievement size. Getting bit is hard, landing them is even harder. Beautiful weather and light loads improve the prospects a little. Definite go tomorrow and Sunday, lots of open spots.

Tackle recommendations:
(All are available to rent at H&M)
1. 30-40 pound flyline setup with size 1 and 2 circle hooks and fluorocarbon for Bluefin and 2/0 j-hooks for yellowtail.
2. 50-60 pound setup for fishing sinker rigs and SK jigs. 6 to 8 ounce torpedo sinkers. Also a good idea to bring some Daiwa Zakana jigs or other shiny dart style jigs in the 100 to 150 gram size.
3. Big Bluefin: 60-100lb outfit with a two speed reel to fish the sinker rig and 180-300 gram knife jigs. Not mandatory but you’ll wish you had it if the jumbos decide to play.

Trips will be departing seven days a week at 5:30am from H&M Landing.

Passports are NOT required. No fuel surcharges at this time. Free bunks available for all, please bring your own bedding.
